Scotia : Carte Visa Infinite ᐩ* Momentum ScotiaMD cashback frequently asked questions
Scotia : Carte Visa Infinite ᐩ* Momentum ScotiaMD cashback generally refers to the cashback rewards earned with the Scotia Momentum Visa Infinite card, potentially combined with cashback earned through an eligible online cashback portal. Card rewards and portal rewards are separate programs.
You can usually earn Scotia Momentum Visa Infinite card rewards by paying with the card after accessing an eligible retailer through a cashback portal. The portal cashback is separate from the card's built-in cashback and depends on the retailer's terms.
Log in to a participating cashback portal, find an eligible retailer, activate the offer, click through to the retailer, and complete your purchase using the Scotia Momentum Visa Infinite card. Follow the portal's terms to help ensure both rewards track.
In many cases, yes. A qualifying purchase may earn cashback from the portal and card rewards from Scotia Momentum Visa Infinite. However, exclusions, payment-method rules, coupon restrictions, and merchant-specific terms can prevent one or both rewards from being awarded.
Cashback portals typically support the shopping transaction rather than a specific credit card. Services such as SimplyBestCoupons.com may list eligible merchant offers, but you should confirm the current offer terms, tracking requirements, and exclusions before purchasing.
Not necessarily. Most shopping portals offer cashback on purchases from participating retailers, not on credit-card applications. Any card welcome offer or application incentive is governed by Scotiabank's official terms and should be verified directly with the issuer.
Some portals may occasionally advertise financial-product promotions, but eligibility varies and may be restricted by location, applicant status, tracking, or issuer rules. Review both the portal's terms and Scotiabank's official offer conditions before applying.
Your total potential reward depends on the card's current category rates, the purchase amount, the merchant's portal rate, and applicable exclusions. Rates can change, so check the latest Scotia card agreement and the portal offer before completing a purchase.
Eligible purchases depend on the card's current reward categories and issuer terms. Common categories may include groceries, gas, dining, entertainment, recurring payments, or other purchases, but category definitions and rates can change. Check Scotiabank's current product information.
Cashback portals commonly calculate rewards on the eligible merchandise subtotal and exclude taxes, shipping, duties, gift cards, discounts, and returns. Card rewards may follow different rules. Consult both sets of terms for the specific transaction.
Only if the cashback portal permits that coupon code. Codes found outside the portal may invalidate portal cashback, while some approved codes remain eligible. Card rewards are subject to separate Scotia terms and are not usually affected by a valid discount code.
Portal transactions may appear as pending within minutes or several days, depending on the retailer. Scotia card rewards generally appear according to the card issuer's statement and processing schedule. Keep order confirmations until both rewards are confirmed.
Check that you started from the portal, used the required link, disabled conflicting extensions, accepted cookies, and followed the offer rules. Then submit a missing-cashback claim with the order number, date, amount, and confirmation email before the portal's deadline.
Possibly. Some portals require their app, browser extension, or mobile link for tracking, while others track only desktop purchases. Activate the offer using the method specified by the portal and verify whether app purchases are eligible.
Yes. A returned, cancelled, refunded, or partially refunded order may cause portal cashback to be reversed. The related card transaction and any Scotia rewards may also be adjusted according to Scotiabank's applicable terms.
Gift-card purchases are frequently excluded from cashback portal offers, and card reward eligibility can vary by merchant and transaction type. Review the exact portal terms and Scotia card conditions before buying gift cards for cashback.
You may be able to complete the purchase with another payment method, but you will not earn Scotia Momentum Visa Infinite card rewards unless you pay with that card. The portal may also exclude certain payment methods, so follow the offer's requirements.
The tax treatment of credit-card rewards and portal cashback can depend on how the rewards are earned and your personal circumstances. Many consumer rewards are treated differently from business income. Consult the official program terms or a qualified tax professional.
Compare portal rates before shopping, activate the offer immediately before checkout, use an eligible Scotia Momentum Visa Infinite spending category, apply only approved coupons, avoid excluded items, and keep transaction records until the rewards post.
Check Scotiabank's official Scotia Momentum Visa Infinite product page, cardholder agreement, and current rewards disclosures for card terms. Check the cashback portal's individual merchant page for tracking rules, rates, exclusions, and claim deadlines.
